live. laugh. love.: youth camp

I'm finally blogging! I've been meaning to do it every since I got home from camp but I've been so busy. I've got alot to catch up on. :) I'll just start where I left off.....

Youth Camp was a blast! I had a awesome week. The first day pretty hectic and went kinda slow. Trying to get everyone where they needed to be always takes forever. I did get to help with registration and that was neat. I think we ended up having 85-90 kids there so we had a pretty good crowd. Our theme for the week was "What about you". Everyday we had different examples - Elisha, Nehemiah, Ruth, Paul, and the Three Hebrew Children. Each night every cabin had to quote the day's verse and sing a song or do a little skit or something. We had alot of funny ones this year.lol Ariana, Megan, and Alex wrote out theme song. It was really, really good. It's amazing what young kids can do. Scott sat down with them and helped them with some of the verses and the music. I think everyone was really impressed. :)

I made a new friend at camp.....Cassie. I had seen her before when our youth had went to her church to sing but I had never talked to her. Monday morning her and her cousin were just standing by themselves so I walked over there and talked to her and told her about the camp and everything. It was so funny cause we like...clicked...immediatly. lol We were by each others side all week long. It was actually kinda scary because we were so much alike. We were both really disappointed though because we are never going to get to see each other. She lives about an hour and a half away from me. :( I loved my cabin and my counselor. They were awesome. We had alot of fun together. We actually ended up winning cabin of the week! We were so excited! Here's a picture of all of us....
